NAAAP Vision and Mission

Tommy Yip

President & CEO of NAAAP

Greetings NAAAP members, sponsors, and supporters!

For over 30 years, NAAAP continues to strive to be the premier leadership organization for Asian Pacific Islander professionals in North America. No other Pan-Asian and Pan-professional organization has a long and proud history as NAAAP. Our mission is to cultivate and empower leaders, connect accomplished professionals, engage with the community, and inspire members to make a meaningful difference.

NAAAP continues to work with strategic partners and various ethnic and mainstream organizations to create more value, influence, and recognition for our members, partners, and sponsors with the some of our fantastic programs:

  • ALIST Magazine – a quarterly publication dedicated to bringing mainstream and interest to North American Asian leadership and excellence.

  • NAAAP 100 – a recognition program for outstanding Asian Leaders

  • Women In NAAAP (WIN) – a program dedicated to develop female leaders in the Asian Pacific Islander community.

  • Successful Parents In NAAAP (SPIN) – a program intended to address the needs of North American Asian parents.

However, our signature program is the annual International Convention. Each year at this convention, we strive to provide innovative training and valuable experiences to our attendees, and we believe that you will be particularly pleased with and motivated by this year’s inspirational speakers, thought-provoking panels, and enjoyable events. Some of the highlights of the convention are Industry Day, the Diversity Career Fair, leadership development workshops tailored to Asian professionals and diversity organizations, and networking opportunities with other NAAAP members and Asian professionals across North America. With that said, I am looking forward to meeting you at the 2013 NAAAP International Convention in Toronto on August 8-10, 2013.

If you cannot make our annual convention this year, I would like to invite you to visit your nearest local NAAAP chapter and encourage you to get involved. I am confident that your time with us will provide you with learning experiences and connections to enhance your professional endeavours for years to come.

Best Wishes and Great Success to you!

Sincerely,

Tommy Yip
