Janet Wu
News Anchor

Janet has a variety of roles at 7News.  She has covered medical and general news, and is often seen at the anchor desk.  Before coming to Boston, she worked at stations in Seattle, Hawaii and Monterey California.

A published writer, her essays and editorials have been printed in the New York Times, The Boston Globe, the Boston Herald and a number of college text books.

She graduated from Yale with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology.  She has a master's degree from Columbia University's Schools of Journalism and International Affairs.

She sits on the Boards of Visitors for the New England Conservatory of Music and The Franciscan Hospital for Children.

Before coming to Boston in 1996,, Wu worked as an anchor and reporter at stations in Seattle, Hawaii, and Monterey, CA. 
  
A published writer, Wu's essays and editorials have been printed in the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, and a number of college textbooks.  She has also lectured at Boston University, Brandeis University, Bentley University , and Emerson College. 

Wu graduated from Yale University with a degree in Philosophy and Psychology.  She earned a master's degree from Columbia University's Schools of Journalism and International Affairs.  She is currently working on another master's in literature and creative writing from Harvard's Extension School.

Wu sits on the Boards of Visitors for the New England Conservatory of Music and The Franciscan Hospital for Children.  She also does volunteer work for  the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, St. Jude's Research Hospital and the Center For Women and Enterprise.
